Please join us for an evening of literary exploration at the Book Launch and Panel Discussion of Gauri Datt’s Devrani Jethani ki Kahani or A Story of Two Sisters-in-Law, Translated and Annotated with an Introduction by Smita Gandotra and Ulrike Stark (Primus).

A panel discussion on Gauri Datt’s book, often considered the first novel in Hindi, will be initiated by Simona Sawhney (IIT-Delhi) and Udaya Kumar (Jawaharlal Nehru University), followed by brief comments from the translators, Ulrike Stark (University of Chicago) and Smita Gandotra (St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi). B.N. Varma as Former Head, Primus Books, Delhi, will also address the audience.
