South Asia Cycles is a two-day workshop bringing together experts from academia, policy, and industry to discuss the current state of bicycling in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs), with a focus on South Asia. The sessions addresses key themes such as access to bicycling infrastructure, safety, policy perspectives, and the role of cycling in urban mobility. The workshop will also feature an exhibition of research posters and short films by scholars and filmmakers.
Research on cycling must engage with the sociocultural, political, and technological dimensions of urban infrastructure, aiming to facilitate discussions and collaborations that will shape the future of cycling in South Asia’s fast-changing transportation landscape.
