In an engaging session at the UChicago Center in Delhi, Professor Pradeep K. Chintagunta (Chicago Booth) joined alumni and guests for a wide-ranging conversation on marketing, technology, and development. From reflections on the evolution of marketing education and class experiences at Booth, to research challenges in emerging economies, Prof. Chintagunta highlighted how marketing insights can drive social change from Zambia to Madurai. The discussion covered his collaborative work on peer outreach during COVID-19, pharmaceutical pricing in India, and patient trust in health systems. Participants also explored AI’s impact on marketing, the tension between strategic and tactical change in India, and the future of research in an era shaped by drastic digital evolution.
